Aluminium sliding doors in Hastings and Sussex

Slim aluminium sliding doors, including triple-track sliders that open up two-thirds of the opening. Made to measure and fitted across Hastings and Sussex by a family firm established in 1993.

Big glass, slim frames

Aluminium sliding doors give you wide panes of glass with very little frame in the way. Aluminium is strong for its weight, so the frames can stay slim while carrying large, heavy panes. The result is more light, a clearer view of the garden and a clean, modern look.

The panes glide sideways on tracks, so nothing swings into the room or out onto the patio. That makes sliding doors a good fit where furniture sits close to the doors, or where outside space is tight.

Sliding doors or bi-folds?

Both open your home up to the garden, but they work in different ways. Bi-fold doors fold back concertina-style and can open almost the whole width of the wall. When they’re closed, though, you see a frame between each panel.

Sliding doors use fewer, larger panes. When they’re closed you get more glass and slimmer lines, which suits rooms where the view matters most of the year. When they’re open, part of the opening stays glazed, because the panes stack behind each other rather than folding away.

If you’re not sure which suits your home, we’ll talk you through both at your free home visit. We also fit aluminium bi-fold doors.

Two-track or triple-track?

A standard two-track sliding door has two panes on two tracks. One slides behind the other, so you can open up half of the opening.

A triple-track door has three panes on three tracks. The panes slide past each other and stack together, so two-thirds of the opening can slide open. That gives you a much wider way through to the garden, and with three panes the doors can span a wider opening too.

  • Two-track: two panes, half the opening slides open. Simple and suits narrower openings.
  • Triple-track: three panes, two-thirds of the opening slides open. Suits wider openings and homes that want more of the room open to the garden.

Warm, strong and low maintenance

  • Thermal breaks in the frame reduce heat loss, helping keep rooms warmer in winter and cooler in summer.
  • Aluminium won’t rust, flex or twist, so the doors keep running smoothly with very little upkeep.
  • Secure locking systems from Yale, fitted by Yale approved installers.

Questions about aluminium sliding doors

What is a triple-track sliding door?

It’s a sliding door with three panes of glass running on three tracks. The panes slide past each other and stack together, so two-thirds of the opening can be opened up, compared with half on a standard two-track door.

Should I choose sliding doors or bi-folds?

Bi-folds open almost the whole width of the wall but have more frames when closed. Sliding doors have bigger panes of glass and slimmer lines, and they don’t swing or fold into the room or onto the patio. We’ll help you weigh it up at your free home visit.

What colours are available?

Our aluminium doors come in over 200 RAL colours, and you can have one colour outside and a different one inside.

Are aluminium sliding doors guaranteed?

Yes. Our aluminium doors come with an insurance-backed guarantee.

How much do aluminium sliding doors cost?

It depends on the size of the opening, the number of panes and the finish, so we quote each set individually. We’ll visit, measure up and give you a free, no-obligation quote. Call 01424 239023 to arrange it.
