Light, space and a link to the garden

French doors open your home up to the garden and let plenty of natural light into the room, even into darker corners. On a warm day, open both doors wide and the patio becomes part of the house.

They don’t have to lead outside. French doors also make an attractive divider between two rooms, so you can open the space up when you’re entertaining and close it off when you want somewhere quieter, without either room feeling shut in.

Before and after

French doors can replace an existing window to give a room direct access to the garden. Here, an old window in the back of a bungalow was replaced with French doors and side windows.

Warm all year round

Liniar’s multi-chambered profile and double glazing work together to keep the heat in. The sealed glass units trap air between the panes, so less warmth escapes through the doors and your heating doesn’t have to work as hard.

Locked at the top and bottom

Our Liniar French doors are PAS 24 tested against a series of physical attack methods. They’re fitted with a Yale shootbolt locking system with locks at both the top and bottom of the doors. As Yale approved installers, we include a 10-year Yale guarantee on the locks.

Neat details

  • A milled joint between the frame and threshold, so there are no plastic end caps to spoil the look.
  • Low threshold options for easier access, including for wheelchair users.
  • Slimline 2D hinges in a choice of colours to suit your frames.
  • A choice of colours and RENOLIT foils, available across the Liniar range so your doors and windows look right together.

Low maintenance and built to last

uPVC won’t rot, warp or need painting. Wipe the frames and moving parts every so often and your doors will keep working smoothly for years. Each set of Liniar French doors comes with a 10-year product guarantee against cracking, warping and discolouration.

Questions about French doors

How much do French doors cost?

Every opening is different, so we price each pair of French doors individually. We’ll visit, measure up and give you a free, no-obligation quote. Call 01424 239023 to arrange it.

Can French doors be fitted between two rooms?

Yes. As well as opening onto the garden, French doors work well inside the house to link two rooms, letting light through while still giving you two separate spaces.

How secure are uPVC French doors?

Our Liniar French doors are PAS 24 tested and fitted with a Yale shootbolt locking system that locks at the top and bottom of the door. The Yale locks come with a 10-year guarantee.

Can I have a low threshold?

Yes. Low threshold options are available, which makes French doors easier to use for wheelchair users and anyone who finds a step difficult.
