Two ways to open
Tilt and turn windows give you two openings in one window, with a single handle. Tilt the top inwards and fresh air comes in while the window stays locked in place, which makes it ideal overnight or when you’re out of the room. Turn the handle further and the whole sash swings inwards.
That inward opening makes these windows a favourite for upstairs rooms, flats and anywhere hard to reach from outside. You can clean both sides of the glass from inside your home, and the window can also be set up as a fire escape.

Clean, European styling
Tilt and turn windows have crisp, straight lines and neat detailing. The gearing is concealed inside the frame (UNI-JET hardware) rather than screwed to the face, so it looks tidier. A FerGUard Silver coating guards the hardware against corrosion.
They suit traditional and contemporary homes alike. Choose a chamfered frame for a clean, modern feel or a sculptured frame for a softer curve. Colours range from white and cream to woodgrain finishes such as Irish oak, and you can add Georgian or astragal bars and cills for a more traditional look.
Secure and weatherproof
- Yale multi-point locking on every window, with a 10-year Yale guarantee.
- A secure tilt-only position for ventilation without opening the window fully.
- A continuous rebate gasket that helps stop condensation and cuts outside noise.
- Bubble gaskets that keep driving rain out.
Warm and low maintenance
The multi-chambered Liniar profile and double glazing keep heat inside, so your home in Hastings stays warmer and you rely less on the heating. Our uPVC windows are A-rated, lead free and fully recyclable.
The frames are made not to warp, rust or discolour, and they never need painting. An occasional wipe with a damp cloth keeps them looking good. And because we’re FENSA registered, you get a certificate showing your new windows meet Building Regulations.

How does a tilt and turn window work?
Turn the handle one way and the top of the window tilts inwards, letting fresh air in while the window stays secure. Turn it the other way and the whole window swings inwards, so you can clean the outside glass from indoors.
Can a tilt and turn window be used as a fire escape?
Yes. Because the window opens fully inwards, it can be set up as an escape window. Ask us about this when we survey your home.
Are tilt and turn windows secure?
Yes. Every one is fitted with Yale multi-point locking and comes with a 10-year Yale guarantee. The tilt position lets air in without leaving the window open.
Do tilt and turn windows suit older houses?
They work on traditional and contemporary homes. A sculptured frame, woodgrain colours and Georgian or astragal bars help them sit comfortably on an older property.
