Why choose a FENSA registered installer?
Choosing a FENSA registered installer means your replacement windows and doors are checked against the regulations, registered for you and backed by a certificate you can show when you sell.
- FENSA registered
- Certass member
- Yale approved installer
- Liniar uPVC systems
- Secured by Design doors
What is a FENSA registered installer?
FENSA stands for Fenestration Self-Assessment Scheme. It’s a government-approved Competent Person Scheme that monitors the installation of replacement windows and doors, and a name that homeowners, local authorities and the industry recognise.
A FENSA registered installer has passed FENSA’s initial vetting and is then assessed regularly and impartially throughout its membership. Those assessments check that its installations keep to the regulations and industry standards for replacement windows and doors.
Why it matters to you
No building control paperwork
Replacing windows and doors has to comply with Building Regulations. When you use a FENSA registered installer, you don’t have to submit anything to your local building control after the work is finished. Your installer notifies FENSA on your behalf, FENSA informs building control, and you receive your certificate at the end.
A certificate for when you sell
Your FENSA certificate is the official record of the installation. It’s usually one of the documents you’ll be asked for when you sell your home, so it pays to have one.
Independent checks on quality
You don’t have to rely on an installer’s word alone. Because FENSA assesses its members regularly, registration gives you independent reassurance that the installer’s work is checked against the standards.
